RARE 1970 documented Donald Brooks 1940's inspired set! Done in a poly jersey printed with large scale monkeys holding pink ice cream cones. Tie top and wide leg palazzo ultra high waist pants with hook and eyes at the back of the 3" wide waist. Top is lined in white and double faced with the same fabric. Pants are unlined except for the waistline. A true collector piece!

From 1970 Los Angeles Times: "Donald Brooks Boutique ($70 to $25) snapped to life with its 1940's inspired Carmen Miranda and Dorothy Lamour staples-sarong, bare midriffs, corsages for flowers and bumblebees. Several evening dresses were printed with huge life sized monkeys. Green printed monkeys with pink ice cream cones climbed over three silk bra, halter and shirt midis dresses."
